The platform enables wheelchair users to stay in their chair during the appointment, which is more comfortable for the patient and enables dentists to adopt a better working position.
The platform is suitable for both manual and electric wheelchairs; it has programmable positions, adjustable positions and a comfortable backrest. The platform has been ergonomically designed to provide maximum comfort. The platform allows the dentist to get close to the patient’s oral cavity, which enables them to adopt the best possible working position without reaching or stretching for long periods of time. This helps to reduce the risk of back and neck pain, which are very common amongst dental professionals. The platform is easy to use and can take weights of up to 375 kilograms.
Design Specific also offers a universal headrest, which is suitable for all patients; the headrest encourages good posture and supports the head, neck and upper back. The headrest rotates 360 degrees to ensure the patient’s head is supported at all times.
